The Volcanic Summit (1,717m)

After about 2 hours of hiking, you will reach the highest point of the crater rim. This is where the magic happens. You’ll have a front-row seat to a spectacular sunrise with views of Mount Abang, Mount Agung, and even Mount Rinjani in Lombok on a clear day. We will serve you a simple breakfast (often eggs cooked in volcanic steam!) while you enjoy the warmth of the morning sun.

Natural Hot Springs (Optional Add-on)

 After descending the mountain, there is no better feeling than soaking your tired muscles in the natural volcanic hot springs at the foot of the mountain. Relax in the warm mineral water while looking back up at the majestic volcano you just conquered.

Important Notes

The Cold: It is surprisingly cold at the top (around 10°C – 15°C). Please bring a jacket, long pants, and a hat.
Footwear: For Trekking, you MUST wear shoes with good grip (sneakers or hiking boots). For the Jeep tour, any comfortable shoes are fine.
Early Pickup: These tours start very early (usually between 1:30 AM and 3:00 AM) to reach the mountain before dawn.
